„God cannot change man unless man consents to change“ Sri Aurobindo

One year comes to an end and starts with a new sunrise and at the same time a new year is born. We welcomed the sun with sunsalutations.  The sun rises just over the mountains, which are the first beginning of the hamalayas at around 300-400 m above sea level. Waiting for the sunrise sometimes seems endless. But when the warm sun rays touch you all happiness is turned into joy. Usually people want to start something new, realize a new idea or get rid of old habits like: do more exercise, stop smoking, eat more healthy...the list is long and you all probably know. If you think back, when have you achieved the greatest changes in your life? Maybe there was some sort of preassure from inside or outside that forced you to change. Or you had a realization and you changed. But honestly have you ever change your habits due to some external date? A date that marks the end of a specifc cycle. Well, maybe you have. The point I want to make is that, if you want to change something and you really have the will power, which is the most important thing, then you will not suffer to leave something old behing, you will be happy instead to start something new. But who am I to give you an advise to manage your things.

Nevertheless I want to share this fact with you. Then it doesn’t acutally matter which date is highligthed in our calender today. After you have achieved to change something for you. Continue and mark the date to keep it in mind.

To sum it up, if you read between the lines. Everybody strives to become better, how to make our lifes better and how to live this life with more consciousness and awareness. That is not my little dictator talking to you.

This is my perception or at least what all human beings share in their inner most core. That is our devine love. Believe in god or not. If you belief in yourself. Then there is no difference.

The last weeks have been a great opportunity for me to figure out quite a few things. With those I don’t want to bother you much here.

As you have noticed I landed at the Aurovalley Ashram in Raiwala, which is about 5h From delhi international Airport. You can catch a cab directly for around 60 USD. Most people do that. I prefer the Indian railway for 2 USD and it takes about the same time. The train arrives in Haridwar and from there you take a TukTuk for 0.50 USD to get close to the Ashram. Check out on Google Maps and the last few kilometers you can walk or take a local TukTUk for 10 INR. Before all this can happen send Swami an email.

Many nationalities live here together and it is not an usual Hindu Asrham (=School of life). If you are interested you should check it out. Google it, book a flight and there you go. You might laugh now. I have a job, I have a wife, I have children and a house. Well take them with you and ask your friends to take care of the house. To experience the life in an ashram is a unique experience. The moment  I left Swami said to me: „You are always welcome here in this place where people can learn how to live“.

All right, it doesn’t need to be India. Maybe there is an Ashram somewhere close to where you live. It will help to read about their general teachings and so on. I haven’t visited a more traditional Ashram, but somehow I am not very attracted by them. In the end, the devine will take care of what you are supposed to experience in this life.

The intention and motives depends on each indivdually. Two questions I have learned here in the ashram. Ask youself: Why and what for? Sometimes you might not be clear about this or that. Go on and ask yourself. Clarity will arise. Of course be patient. Nothing will come the second you call it. If you look a bit close you will see the intention and motive hidden in that question. As you are clear about them, just be honest with your own self. This is actually the work you have to do before asking.

We work for money and to survive. Do we work to live?

We have been conditioned and the system decides what is good and what is bad for us. We have been put in a little box and are kept small and our potentials have been igrnored. Phrases like, this is not possible, what are you doing, you are crazy, this is too dangerous.... You see how the systems talks through these sentences. All is very subtle, only by looking under the surface we begin to realize. That’s how it is. Nothing bad or good. You have always the choice to see it differently.

I guess I live in this system somehow or at least at the edge. Though I am very conscious about the advantages and disadvantages our system has to offer. Some might complain, isn’t that selfish, you go and pick only the wripe grapes and leave the wrotten for the others. Isn’t that you who is talking about yoga and union, but at the same time making separations?

Well, yes that is true. Even though I wouldn’t consider myself to have reached the absolute union. The thing is, all I do I try to do it as consiously as possible and I want to make a progress, and everything with the aim to expand our universal consiousness, which is available for everyone.

Once I take out only the good grapes I do it consiously and inspire the bad ones also to become good in order to get picked. So after a while, there will be no more bad grapes in the system. Do you see the point. The good and the bad grapes represent ourselfs. Why are there good and bad grapes? Why is there good and bad, only because we have chosen!

Some day we drop dead and then. What can you take with you?

You only take what you have learned.

Work for a better world, but work on you and not only for you or the old ways of thinking!

What I mean is: „Be the change in the world to make it a better place“.

You have probably asked yourself at some point: If there is so much evel in this world there cannot be a God! So I rather not believe anything. But this is also your own belief, your own truth, which you have created for yourself.

Or God has abandonned us because Adam has taken the apple from the garden of Eden. Osho says, this is bullshit. According to him, Adam was just courious and thi is one of our powers. Without couriousity we would’t have created so many vital things on this planet. And we want a better world and a  higher consciousness. So what is wrong with the apple being taken?

Religions they talk about sin. But what is sin. Sin is a word and our own creation to create fear in order to control. Or make poeple suffer. Misuse of powers. Open a history book and you will connect. Who the fuck wants people to suffer because of their past? You have done something bad, well forgive yourself, get up, don’t do it again and carry on with life!

It becomes difficult once we accept stories from all those religions and people which are based upon individual experiences and blindly belief them. And only because we have forgotten to trust in ourself. Mostly it seems that there is either you belief in God or you deny God. Is there no space in between? Where all your experiences, concepts, emotions, thoughts. Your whole inner being exists? Or is it all or nothing. And inbetween is the little self not knowing whether it should go left or right. Another chance could also be to completely avoid any question at all. Totally abandon it from you, even by reading this you know deep inside you there is something you cannot explain. So then, tell me what is it?

You can find my text confusing, inspiring, irritating, motivating...

You are totally free to find it however you want.

For me it serves the purpose of getting something out there.

Yesterday on my last day as I got to my room after dinner I heard something really loud. As if a huge metal sliding door was pushed upen, but hang on! There is nowhere a metal door... Then! Oh yes! That must be an elephant close to the temple! So I ran up the stairs and on the rooftop I could hear him walking away. While he was moving, he was touching the plants, trees and cracking some wood. As the other people were alarmed they started illuminating the dark with their super torches. But we couldn’t see the elephant anymore. He must have gone back to the river bank or wherever. At least Indian elephants are not as their brothers and sisters from Africa.
